It’s been unseasonably cold here in Vancouver. And much to my chagrin, the jacket I bought last year still won’t close all the way. This year I vow NOT to buy a jacket that almost fits with the hopes of losing enough weight to actually stay warm in it. To stave off hypothermia, I went hunting for a stylish winter jacket that a) fits me well, b) is not black or gray, and c) works with my body shape not against it. 

I started my search at local retailers. While the selection is okay, there’s way too much black. And way too many pea coats. Read this article »
